To be curious, to investigate
To think, to learn
To be as fully aware as possible
of one’s self, one’s world;
To evaluate tradition
with the calm appreciative honesty
that one employs in evaluating
new knowledge and points of view;
and so
to leave the world a bit more favorable
to the full flowering
